North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Roy Williams told ESPN’s Andy Katz that UNC point guard Marcus Paige will make his season debut Tuesday night against Maryland in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
UNC will be at full strength for the first time this season against the No. 2 Terrapins. Paige, a preseason All-American selection, missed the first six games of the season with a broken right hand.
The Tar Heels’ lone defeat of the season came against Northern Iowa, losing their No. 1 ranking in the process.
The senior guard averaged a team-high 14.1 points and 4.5 assists per game last season. He was selected as a co-preseason ACC Player of the Year with Virginia’s Malcolm Brogdon.
