Tottenham Enters Top Four Discussion With Dismantling of West Ham

In a game in which the winner would be within two points of the top four, only one team apparently showed up to White Hart Lane. Tottenham systematically destroyed West Ham 4-1 to solidly be fifth place in the table, just two points behind Arsenal and Manchester City for third place.

Tottenham’s attacking was led by none other than Harry Kane, who scored two goals today and now has eight goals in his last five games. His first was a bit fortunate as the deflected ball fell right to his feet. But once the ball got there, he made a great turn and had an open shot at goal to make it 1-0.

After a Toby Alderweireld goal off a corner and a rather easy miss by Kane, Kane got it back to get his second goal of the game and put Spurs up 3-0. West Ham made a rather baffling defensive gaffe and Harry Kane obviously made them pay for that. Kane will be kicking himself by not getting the hat trick but two goals and three points has to be a great consolation prize.
