Terrelle Pryor Think He Played Like Garbage This Week

Following last Sunday’s 23-10 win over the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium, Cincinnati Bengals veteran cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones called wide receiver Terrelle Pryor “garbage.”

Pryor caught just one of the three passes thrown his way for only three yards and was seen getting into a verbal confrontation with Cleveland quarterback Robert Griffin III, which resulted in the use of a timeout as the play clock nearly ran out.
“Some guys like to talk afterwards, some guys don’t, which he had the right,” Pryor said following Wednesday’s practice. “I was garbage that day. I had one catch, three yards. I was garbage, so he was right. It was an accurate statement.”
According to Pryor, he avoids talking to opponents through the media because of his desire to be a role model for his son and other children that look up to him.
“All I can do is fight on the field, talk on the field and be in the game at the end of the day,” Pryor said. “Talking outside, a lot of kids look up to me. I’m a role model to a lot of kids. I get a lot of messages, a lot of letters, hundreds of letters every week from kids and stuff like that. The way I want to teach my son is you don’t win battles and you don’t win games by talking.
“It’s all about just being a great role model. When kids look up to you, the last thing they want to see is me trash-talking in the media. It doesn’t do anything, and I stand firm on that. I really want to be a great role model to kids, and when I’m in the game, it’s different because I’m in my sanctuary along with the other players.”
On the season, Pryor leads the Browns with 63 catches for 858 yards, four touchdowns and 10 receptions of 20 or more yards. But for Pryor to have an impact on the outcome of a game, he knows it requires more than just being effective when the ball is thrown his way.
