Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck announced his retirement on Monday.

“After months of praying and careful consideration, I have decided to retire from the game of football,” Tuck announced in a Facebook post. “I’ve had 11 great years and honestly I leave with very few regrets.

A two-time Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants, Tuck spent his final two NFL seasons in Oakland, although a torn pectoral muscle limited him to five games in his final NFL season.

“Justin Tuck is a leader and a true professional on and off the field,” coach Jack Del Rio said in a statement. “His commitment to his teammates and the organization was awesome and he was a pleasure to coach. I wish Justin and his family nothing but the best.”

Tuck finishes his career with 66.5 sacks over his 11 NFL season, including six over his 20 games played with the Raiders. He won Super Bowls XLII and XLVI with the Giants and recorded two sacks in both games to become the only player in NFL history with two multi-sack efforts in the Super Bowl.
