NFL Coaching Hot Seat Tracker: Caldwell Should Be in Trouble

Five weeks into the 2015 NFL regular season, one team is already using an interim head coach. But if these guys keep it up, Dan Campbell of the Dolphins might soon be joined by a few others. Here’s how we view the coaches who are in the greatest danger of being fired entering mid-October…

1. Jim Caldwell, Lions: Caldwell is a terrible head coach who was in the right place at the right time with the Colts in 2009 and has coasted on that ever since. These Lions are far too talented to be 0-5 and should probably soon consider blowing things up.

2. Gus Bradley, Jaguars: The Jags might not be good, but they’re not this bad either. With four losses in their first five games, they’re on track to record yet another double-digit-loss season. Bradley is now 8-29 as a head coach, and although he’s a defensive guru Jacksonville ranks 31st in the league in terms of points allowed.
