Josh Gordon applies for NFL reinstatement

Troubled wide receiver Josh Gordon, who once flashed Hall of Fame talent during his time with the Cleveland Browns, has filed for NFL reinstatement amid his latest ban for violations of the league’s drugs and performance-enhancing substances policies.

Per ESPN, the 29-year-old submitted his proposal to the league on Wednesday.

Gordon featured for the Seattle Seahawks in a handful of games last season until the league indefinitely suspended him halfway through December. Before that, Gordon played for the New England Patriots and earned a ring after the franchise won Super Bowl LIII even though he didn’t play in the game because he was suspended.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Gordon suffered a relapse in late 2019 after his brother passed away.
