The Raiders will open free agency Wednesday by addressing their issues with forward progress as well as rushing the passer with players in their prime who own Super Bowl rings.

Baltimore offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele and Seattle outside linebacker Bruce Irvin reportedly agreed to terms Tuesday during the negotiating window preceding the start of free agency.

Osemele’s deal, first reported by the NFL Network, is for $60 million over five seasons with $20 million up front. Irvin’s signing was reported later in the evening by both the NFL Network and ESPN, with no mention of contract terms.
The Raiders enter free agency with more than $60 million in salary cap space.

NFL rules stipulate agents were able to discuss contract terms with prospective teams during the negotiating period, although they are prohibited from reaching deals in principle or announcing any deals.

A year ago, a deal between the Miami Dolphins and defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh was reported during the negotiating period, and the Dolphins were not penalized by the league.

Osemele, who turns 27 during training camp, played for the Baltimore Ravens as a rookie postseason starter at left guard after playing the entire season at left tackle in 2012, winning Super Bowl XLVII against the 49ers.

The following year, Irvin was on the field for the Seahawks’ 43-8 win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Osemele, who turns 27 during training camp, played 10 games at left guard and four at left tackle in 2015, missing Weeks 11 and 12 with a knee injury. He was widely regarded as the best offensive lineman available on the market.

At 6-foot-5, 330 pounds, Osemele plays with the kind of power and push which coach Jack Del Rio and general manager Reggie McKenzie prefer along the offensive front.
