NBA Trade Deadline; 15 Players Rumored

Written by Randy Miller at NJ.com

You’d have to think a little bit to put together a decent-sized list of NBA players who haven’t had their name come up in recent trade rumors.

We’ll start with everyone on the Golden State Warriors, because one of the perks that comes with hardly ever losing is everyone stays.

LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki, Jimmy Butler, Paul George, Chris Paul, Tim Duncan and a few others are safe, too.

Most everyone else, including a few superstars, could be moved before the NBA’s trade deadline Thursday at 3 p.m. EST.

Here are 15 star players who have been come up in recent trade rumors:

BLAKE GRIFFIN, F

The Los Angeles Clippers appear to be serious about moving a face of their franchise who currently is shelved with a broken hand that occurred from a January fight in which he broke his hand slugging a team equipment manager.

KEVIN DURANT, F

If Griffin isn’t traded this week, it could indicate there’s something to the rumor that has him being moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason for Durant.

DWIGHT HOWARD, C

The Houston Rockets have made Howard available and reportedly have been in trade discussions with the Charlotte Hornets.

AL HORFORD, C

The Atlanta Hawks reportedly have made their center available, but are demanding a big return even though Horford is on an expiring contract.

JEFF TEAGUE, G

There’s been a lot of talk about the Atlanta Hawks breaking up the core of team, and if happens, their standout point guard could be moved. ESPN.com reported the Knicks are hot for Teague.

RYAN ANDERSON, F
The New Orleans Pelicans are going nowhere this season and their high-scoring sixth man is on an expiring contract.
