Week 12 Waiver Wire Targets

Written by Kelsey Smelser at Punch Drunk Wonderland

Week 11 is in the books and there are a whole slew of injuries around the league that make for plenty of juicy gems on the waiver wire going into Week 12. More season ending injuries to big names like Joe Flacco, Justin Forsett, and possibly Marshawn Lynch. Plus, Week 12 status is up in the air for some star players like Charcandrick West in Kansas City and Devonta Freeman for Atlanta. There are plenty of moves to be made, so here’s a look at possible waiver wire targets for Week 12.

Thomas Rawls (RB, Seattle Seahawks)

There’s nothing sneaky about Rawls at this point. He’s been excellent when called upon to fill in for Marshawn Lynch, and in Week 11 he exploded for 208 rushing yards, 46 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns. It’s looking like he’s going to be the man going forward in Seattle since there’s a good chance Lynch could be missing the rest of the season with a sports hernia. It’s worth watching the situation, but Rawls is a must own at this point.

Javorius Allen (RB, Baltimore Ravens)

Week 11 was rough on the Ravens. Joe Flacco was lost to a torn ACL and running back Justin Forsett suffered a broken arm that ended his season. That means it’s next man up in Baltimore. Rookie Javorius Allen should be taking over as the lead back. He performed well when he came in after Forsett went down, tallying 22 carries for 67 yards and 5 catches for 48 yards. His big and physical, and he can make plays both on the ground and as a receiver out of the backfield. He’s available in 95% of ESPN leagues. He’s a must have going forward.
