What’s Next for Bones?

Well, that was fast.

After a little over five months, Jon “Bones” Jones has officially been inked back onto the UFC roster.

Jones, who was suspended indefinitely following a felony hit-and-run accident this past April, is one of the most dominant champions the sport has ever seen, defending his UFC Light Heavyweight Championship a record-breaking eight times.

The unusually humble Jones announced via Twitter that he was “grateful for the opportunity to resume my career” and has been performing charity and youth outreach as part of his supervised probation.

The implications of his return to the octagon is immense. Jones, along with Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, is one of the biggest pay-per-view draws the UFC has in its repertoire. Fans crowd their television sets to see if someone has the gall to take down the 28-year-old phenom.

And so far, no one’s really stood a chance.
