Russell Westbrook is in quarantine after testing positive for the coronavirus. The Rockets point guard announced the news on Twitter, while also encouraging followers to wear a mask and take the pandemic seriously.
“I tested positive for covid-19 prior to my team’s departure to Orlando,” Westbrook tweeted. “I’m currently feeling well, quarantined, and looking forward to joining my teammates when I am cleared. Thank you for all the well wishes and continued support. Please take this virus seriously. Be safe. Mask up! #whynot.”

The NBA is set to resume on July 30, with the Rockets among the teams expected to be fighting for a better playoff position before the postseason begin.
