Oakland Raiders Take Another Step Towards Moving to Los Angeles

This season, the Oakland Raiders have been playing solid football on the field as they are 2-2 going into their week five matchup against the Denver Broncos. Off the field, there is a lot happening in regards to where the franchise will be playing in 2016. On Wednesday night, more light was shed on the future of the Raiders’ new home.

According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, a source told him that Raiders owner Mark Davis could sell part of the team to a Los Angeles investor to possibly help move the process along in moving the team. If the Raiders want to move out of Oakland to go to Los Angeles, this definitely helps, especially if the St. Louis Rams and San Diego Chargers are working on a deal to possibly be the two teams in Southern California.

But before any of these teams can think about moving, they have to go through a vote. On Wednesday, Steelers owner Art Rooney told CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora that he expects a vote on a potential move in January, but it’s still possible no teams move in 2016.

If you are a Raiders fan, you have to think, where there is smoke, there is fire when it comes to possible relocation. Rooney was not the only owner to weigh in on the relocation to Los Angeles. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay also spoke about it on Tuesday.According to Los Angeles Times’ Sam Farmer, Irsay said that there’s a “high likelihood” that it will be one or two teams playing in Los Angeles in 2016.
