NFL Picks Week 2: We Meet Again

Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season ended in gusto involving the Cowboys and Giants as most of you have still not stopped talking about it. Week 2 potentially offers even more than that Sunday night drama.

  • We have a dominant Chiefs team hosting an aged Denver “sheriff” (Jon Gruden has some dumb nicknames) at Arrowhead on “Thursday Night Football”.
  • Rex Ryan is yet again riling up a team he’s coaching against the Patriots (Stay tuned to see if it doesn’t work again).
  • Oh hey, there’s a Cowboys Eagles game in Philly following the fallout of the Sunday night game in Arlington. That’s not interesting at all. (Sarcasm)
  • And we close Week 2 with a titanic matchup. A rematch of last year’s NFC title game. A reminder of this……(I’m sure NBC won’t play this oh, 1,000 times during the broadcast)i39l6jpjcanvzrtbvex5
  • The most complete teams in the NFL, the Seahawks and the Packers, “discuss” their issues on “Sunday Night Football”. This time Aaron Rodgers has a healthy calf (As if that’s a story)

Anyway, as usual, I’ll tell you what to expect from these games and more.

Week 2 Picks, away! (I struggled last week, so let’s rebound, no?)

1) Broncos at Chiefs, “Thursday Night Football”

Did you see how embarrassing Broncos QB Peyton Manning looked against the Ravens? Imagine if Marc Trestman wasn’t coordinating Baltimore’s offense (I will never stop taking shots, bitter to the end).

Chiefs QB Alex Smith isn’t anything special either, but he’s certainly much more physically capable and could be an effective game manager against a capable Broncos defense. The Chiefs’ monstrous defensive front should have a lot of fun. (Please do).

Is it the beginning of the end for Peyton?

Pick: Chiefs 23, Broncos 14
