DraftKings NFL Values: Week 6

Written by Kevin Thomas at No Coast Bias

Below I will highlight a few guys that I perceive will provide value for their price on DraftKings for Week 6 in the NFL.

Quarterback:

Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals ($6,600): Palmer is the 7th highest priced QB despite having the 4th best fantasy points per game with 22.3. He has a great matchup this week against Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh’s pass defense is in the bottom half in the league allowing 70.4 completion percentage (29th), 257 passing yards per game (20th), and 9 touchdown passes allowed (T-22nd). Palmer has been an exceptional 50/50 play each week with a minimum of 18.34 fantasy points per week. Start Palmer with confidence.

Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears ($5,200): If you want to go cheaper at QB this week, Cutler is the play against the Lions. In the 3 games Cutler has started and finished this season he is averaging a solid 17.3 fantasy points per game. He should do even better this week against the poor Lions pass defense. The Lions are worst in the league allowing 76.6% completion percentage and 9.2 yards per attempt. Take advantage of Cutler being over $1,000 cheaper than the other elite QB options. He is the play if you want a cheap QB option and great as a high upside GPP play.

Running back:

Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers ($6,300): Lacy is just too cheap to ignore. He has not been great this year, but is too good to ignore as the 8th highest priced running back. Lacy has a nice matchup against the San Diego rush defense that has allowed the 4th most rushing yards per game at 132.4 yards per game, in addition to a league worst 5.1 yards per rush. Fire up Lacy this week.

Dion Lewis, New England Patriots ($5,800): Lewis has maintained the top running back spot on the Patriots. He continues to out-snap Blount by a large margin, last week Lewis played 71% of the snaps to only 29% for Blount. Continue to roll out Lewis with confidence, especially with DraftKings point per reception scoring. Lewis is a great play with his 23 receptions over the first 4 games. With his minimum of 16 fantasy points each week, Lewis is a steal at his $5,800 price tag.

C.J. Anderson, Denver Broncos ($4,500): Anderson has been terrible this season. He has not passed 50 rushing yards in a game this year and has yet to score a touchdown. That said, he gets an exceptional matchup against the Browns. The Browns have given up the second most rushing yards a game this season of any team in the NFL at 149.4 yards per game and the second worst yards per rush attempt with 5.0 yards per carry. Also, Anderson’s backfield mate, Ronnie Hillman, is a bit banged up. This is Anderson’s last chance to prove himself as the lead back and I think he proves it against the poor Browns defense.
