Browns OT Greg Robinson arrested by border patrol, facing federal drug charge

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Greg Robinson is in custody on Wednesday after Border Patrol agents discovered marijuana in his car at a border checkpoint, per TMZ Sports.

According to TMZ, Robinson was stopped on Monday at the Sierra Blanca border checkpoint near the U.S.-Mexico border and he remains in custody and is facing a federal charge of possession with intent to distribute.

Robinson, who started 12 games for the Browns this season, is set to become a free agent next month. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Browns never planned to re-sign him this offseason.

Browns running back Kareem Hunt got into legal trouble in January, but the officer let him go after finding marijuana in his car.

Robinson’s NFL future is likely now in question as he is set to face federal charges.
