Best & Worst of College Football’s Week 4: Horned and Dangerous

Week four is in the books and what a wild week it was.

The week treated us to the game of the year so far, more derps from Texas and Tennessee, and shocking results on the Left Coast.

Conference play will be in full swing for most conferences starting next week, but let’s take a look at some of the best and worst performances from the last full week in September.

Best: The Doc Is In

That little screenshot above doesn’t include Doctson’s stats so far this season. Those were his numbers in TCU’s game against Texas Tech ALONE.

TCU needed every single statistic the electrifying receiver put up during their 55-52 thriller in Lubbock as defense was not only optional this game, but discouraged.

I was tempted to give Horned Frog running back Aaron Green a co-Best for the game-winning tip drill catch shown below, but Doctson didn’t net his yards by hauling in wide open passes. He had multiple defenders draped all over him most of the game and TCU wouldn’t even be in the position they were at the end of the game without his heroics.
