Best & Worst of College Football’s Week 3: Rebel Forces

Week 3 of the college football season is behind us and it’s clear that a few major assumptions we all had heading into the season shouldn’t have been assumed at all.

It IS possible to beat a Nick Saban coached team in back-to-back games.

Ohio State’s offense, lead by the 2-headed monster at quarterback, WON’T miss a beat from a season ago.

Arkansas WILL put it all together this season to make a run at the SEC and National Title.

How’s that saying go again? When you assume, it makes an….

The Bests & Worsts of Week 3:

Best: Rammer Jammed

The Ole Miss Rebels hadn’t won in Tuscaloosa since 1988 and had NEVER posted back-to-back wins against the Crimson Tide in their program’s history…until Saturday happened.

Thanks to an aerial assault on the Tide defense, including 341 yards and three touchdowns from rapper-turned-quarteback Chad Kelly, the Rebels jumped out to an early 17-3 lead and never looked back. The Rebels’ game plan baffled Saban and company, but they also benefited from a little luck as well…

Sad Bama fans were sad after that play, but fortunately for the Tide they still have plenty of time to right the ship, settle on one QB, and make a run at the College Football Playoff. As for Ole Miss? Sky’s the limit at this point.
