1st Down: Kliff Kingsbury Had Some Strong Words For Bret Bielema

Texas Tech beat Arkansas in Fayetteville to improve to 3-0. They were also the second unranked team in a row to beat Arkansas on the Razorbacks home turf, which comes hilariously after Bret Bielema tried making a point that the topped ranked Ohio State Buckeyes have a weak schedule. But what happened after the game turned this from a standard, run-of-the-mill football game into a fire emoji-laden smack-talk fest.

Kliff Kingsbury’s post game comments included a pretty strong dig at Bielema, but not without better reason than beating his team on his home turf. According to Kingsbury, Bielema addressed Texas high school football coaches this summer, saying, “If you don’t play with a fullback we’ll kick your ass and if you throw it 70 times a game we’ll kick your ass”, prompting Kingsbury (the son of a Texas high school football coach) to conclude with, “He just got his ass kicked twice in a row and probably next week by [Texas] A&M as well.” That’s some grade A smack from the Red Raiders coach.
