Eagles Dominate Division Foes In Cowboys, Winning 37-9

Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was listed as questionable but had a solid day in the team’s lopsided win over the Cowboys on Sunday. He was targeted seven times and caught four of them for 67 yards along with a touchdown.

Jeffery seemed to show more emotion during the Dallas game. He demonstratively signaled first down after making a couple of tough catches in traffic across the middle.

During one of the timeouts, the TV cameraman made his way to Jeffery as he was walking to the huddle. Jeffery took his helmet off and said some things into the camera.

“I was just saying they ain’t (expletive) with us,” Jeffery said after the game. “Wasn’t nobody, (expletive) with us. That’s how we feel in this locker room. We feel like we are the best.”

His lone touchdown was a big-time play. The play made the score 29-9 in the fourth quarter.

Jeffery did an excellent job of hauling in the pinpoint pass from Carson Wentz on the slant. He did an even better job of turning his body so he can shield the ball from hitting the turf.

Jeffery channeled his inner Steve Smith Sr. when asked about his emotions during the game. He wanted to show what he could do in prime time.

“Big time players make big plays. That’s what you live for,” Jeffery explained. “That’s what you want to do. I am just being patient. The defense was bracketing (tight end Zach) Ertz and playing off of us so we just took what they gave us. Torrey made some catches as well.”

Former Eagles safety Brian Dawkins is perhaps one of the most energized players to ever put on an Eagles uniform. Jeffery paid homage to Dawkins with a shirt that had the legendary safety’s image on it.
