The new Associated Press and coaches poll is out and No. 1 remains the same. Alabama, No. 2 in the CFP poll last week, is still the top-ranked team with the coaches.
Georgia is No. 2 again while last week’s No. 3 Ohio State dropped after taking a beating at Iowa. The Buckeyes are all the way down to No. 11 in both of the polls. Penn State, No. 2 just two weeks ago, is 13th in the coaches and 16th in AP after a second straight loss.
A 24-10 win over LSU pushed Alabama to 9-0. The Tide was unanimous No. 1 (coaches poll) the last few weeks but Georgia got one vote this week.
The Crimson Tide heads to No. 18 Mississippi State at 6 p.m. CT Saturday. LSU dropped to No. 25 with the loss that snapped a three-game winning streak.
Auburn moved back into the top-10 win a win at Texas A&M on Saturday.
